Rachel & Eric's Engagement

I've known Eric and Rachel for years. We met during my freshman year at BU. I was coming to terms with the fact that I realllllly didn't want to do my chosen major, and Eric and Rachel helped me figure out what the heck I was going to do with my life. 

They were like my career parents. They helped me get involved in certain clubs at BU. They pored over my resume drafts after long days at work. They even practiced questions with me the night before big interviews.

And through it all, we became fast friends. BBQs at each other's houses. Road trips to the Cape. A football Sunday every now and then (complete with an extra screen for the Eagles).

A few weeks ago, Eric called me -- he was going to propose to Rachel, and he asked for my help. What I had to do was get Rachel to BU's College of Communication lawn. He'd be waiting ... ring in one hand, puppy in the other. And if I could get some pictures in the process, that'd be great. 

Well, I'm happy to report that all went according to plan. Two of my closest friends in the world are now officially going to spend the rest of their lives together. Congratulations, Rachel and Eric!
