Visiting Laura

It can be really tough to be so far away from the people you love. My sister and I always lived close by -- up until recently, that is.

In high school, Laura drove us to and from school, activities, and sports. In college, I spent many weekends at Tufts, just a few T stops away from my dorm.

But now, we're six hours away from each other -- and frankly, it sucks. So we try to visit each other as often as we can.

This weekend, Biagio, my cousin Amy, and I trekked out to Rochester to visit my sister and her boyfriend, Colin. It was the weekend of Rochester's annual Park Ave Festival. The whole street is shut down to cars, and you can wander around and buy lots of local food and crafts. We also got to check out the Erie Canal, and spend lots of quality time sitting around Laura and Colin's backyard fire pit.

It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend -- prime for picture-taking. Here are some of my favorites.
